Caox AS, in collaboration with the renowned chemical laboratory Scaled Solutions Ltd, Livingston, UK, has successfully concluded its R&D program on optimized CO₂ mineralization. The project, partly funded by Innovation Norway, marks a significant step forward within CO2 Utilization.
The new process, developed over several months by dedicated chemists from Caox and Scaled Solutions, has achieved:
This breakthrough has resulted in the creation of new intellectual property and a pending patent for the optimized process, to be trademarked as Caox MineraLoop™.
“With this process, we have demonstrated that CO₂ can not only be captured but also permanently stored with unprecedented efficiency,” said Ole Jacob Sandal, Caox AS.
“This achievement puts us on track to scale up with our pilot rig and contribute meaningfully to carbon reduction.”
Next Step: Pilot Rig Construction
The «Optimized CO₂ Mineralization» project represents a key milestone before the construction of Caox’s pilot rig, which will be capable of capturing and mineralizing 400 tons of CO₂ per year.
