Caox Partners with CCU International to Drive Carbon Capture and Mineralisation Innovation
Caox is pleased to announce a strategic partnership with CCU International to accelerate the commercialisation of carbon capture and mineralisation (CCM) technologies. This collaboration will enable industries to capture CO₂ emissions and transform them into stable, marketable minerals, offering a scalable and sustainable solution for decarbonisation.
The partnership targets hard-to-abate sectors such as waste-to-energy, paper, cement, steel, and energy, with a shared goal to scale up demonstration projects and launch commercial operations by 2028. The collaboration is expected to generate £150 million in joint revenues over the next decade.
Ole Jacob Sandal, CEO of Caox, commented: «This partnership is a significant milestone in our mission to make carbon mineralisation a mainstream solution. By working with CCU International, we are developing a circular carbon model that turns emissions into valuable resources.»
Beena Sharma, CEO and co-founder of CCU International, added: «This partnership offers a groundbreaking opportunity for industries to capture and reuse carbon without the need for geological storage and transportation, providing a more accessible and sustainable approach to carbon management.»
Together, Caox and CCU International are shaping the future of carbon management, delivering practical and impactful solutions that will help industries reduce their carbon footprint while creating new value streams.
